I must admit, sometimes I am ashamed by how powerful the "turn around and look" instinct is. I was driving once and saw a woman driving in the opposite direction and I actually turned around to look. I'm staring at her car. I was straining to look at the rear end of a Volkswagon, but still, I felt the need to look.
I'm not proud of this, you understand. It is just a confession.
Huh? Am I to understand that you were looking at the woman, or were you attracted to the Volkswagon? Because that's just weird. Or, were you surprised to see a woman driver, because they're everywhere now, in case you didn't know. We've come a long way since the ratification of the 19th amendment. (I've heard that women can even have jobs now). Or, was this woman driving the wrong way down a one way street? That might explain your interest. I'm a trifle confused.
ReplyDeleteMy friend, I clearly have a fascination with volkswagons. Something about the brains of the vehicle being in the trunk has always fascinated me.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Volkswagons, my brains are around the corner from my trunk, if you know what I mean.
