Yes, it is true. We have purchased milk since my last blog. Perhaps we have purchased it a couple of times. I'm not sure. Things have been a little hectic lately. I guess my idea of finding a strategy that would help me blog more often isn't working.
I have been interviewing, hiring and training new people here at work. Mortgage applications have also been coming in more frequently, although the majority of the people who apply for a home loan lately no longer qualify. It really just equates to more work for me, and less compensation for my time.
I have also been trying to write a 40 hour course for the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College (OWATC) for their mortgage school: A Principal Lending Manager's course. This is a class that licensed mortgage loan officers can take after they have been in the mortgage industry a minimum of three years and have the desire to become a PLM and manage and/or operate a mortgage company. Writing this course is quite challenging and time consuming, but I'm loving it.
The OWATC already has a great real estate school in place, but they are putting an emphasis on the mortgage school. Not only will there be a PLM course, but a pre-licensure class and continuing education classes are already in place. Besides course development, I have been teaching there as well.
Coralee and I went shopping for milk. Once again, while checking out with 13 gallons of milk, we got some strange looks. The guy behind us in the checkout line said, "wow, you produce a lot of milk."
I immediately looked down at my shirt to see if I was lactating.
I think he meant to say we consume a lot of milk.
I replied, "I guess we need to buy a cow."
"Do you have room?"
Coralee and I both thought he was referring to the number of gallons in the fridge.
"Yes, it fits in the fridge."
"The cow?"
"Oh, we thought you were referring to the milk. Yes, we have enough room for both."
After we left the store, we decided that we'll let people know we do have a cow, but it can't keep up with us.

Sounds like you're busy writing your course... hope it's going well! I still think your time would be better spent on a novel, but what do I know?! Last time I saw you I thought you may have been lactating, but I guess it could have been sweat rings. A lactating man is pretty impressive, but so is a fridge big enough to fit a cow in, so either way, you're one cool dude.
